History:
Created by Sir Cedric Joseph Wyndom, the third Libran Representative to the Quorum of Twelve after the fall of the Twelve Colonies, with the intent of bringing law and order to the Fleet. This need was particularly urgent with reports of Blackmarket traders, causing trouble in the fleet. Following the nightmare creation of the New Caprica Police, and not wishing to remind or antagonize both the Military and the Population. Wyndom had the force wear red uniforms, and was appointed as Acting Commissioner during the first year evaluation period by the Quorum.
Responsibilities:
As the Federal police force of the Colonial Fleet, there official mandate consists of responsibilities ranging from, rural and urban policing, protective services for the Prime Minister and Colonial Government, enforcement of federal laws, to counter terrorism, specialized political intelligence and counterintelligence divisions with Fleet security responsibilities.
