  • Federation system of Government
  • Colonies have separate rights to administrate their own Governmental affairs
  • Under the Articles of Unification. Colonies enforce and legislate their own Laws.

Military
  • Under the Articles of Unification, each Colony maintains a Colony Fleet Headquarters. Each allowed up to 10 Battlestars to represent their Colony and are part of the Colonial Forces.
    • The number in front of the Battlestar number represents the Colony. Example: BS-75 Galactica (7 for Caprica, 5 represents the fifth battlestar in the Caprican Fleet)
