Personality: His strengths are he has strong work ethic, and is committed to getting the job done right. He is dedicated, loyal, and quick of mind. His weaknesses are he lives with a terrible burden of carrying the death of his friend on his shoulder. He is a heavy drinker, says what is on his mind no matter the consequences, and is self-destructive.
His best achievement, he would say would be waking up each morning and an honest day’s work.
His worst failure, he would say was that day on Virgon, when he killed his wingman and friend. It’s why he had the viper’s tail number tattooed on his shoulder, because he will always carry that burden for the rest of his life.

Career or Military History:
After graduation from university, he was unable to get an engineering position straight out of school because of a bad economy at the time. He enlisted into the Colonial Forces, where he was accepted into Officer Candidate School under an aviators program. Upon completion of OCS, and commission to the rank of Ensign, he went to flight school.

Flight school was a breeze for the aeronautical engineer. His first duty station was the Battlestar Mercury. On his second tour with the air group, while on a high atmosphere training mission over Virgon and showing off to his flight stick, he lost control and collided with his wingman. He managed to eject from his viper, but his wingman did not. Collin survived with only a broken arm.

His military career was over; he was forced to resign his commission after he pled guilty at his court-martial to charges of negligent homicide, reckless endangerment, property destruction and failure to obey orders. He was sentenced to a 120 days of hard labor at the military prison on Tauron.

Once out of prison, he jumped on the first available space freighter that would take his labor in exchange for passage to anywhere. He ended up on Aerilon, where he wondered from place to place for a couple of years, till he ended up at the Bee Lucky Ranch at Ostia Springs. After a year or so, he became the Ranch’s foreman, after the prior foreman was killed, after riots broke out in protest to President Adar’s use of Marines to crush an Aerilon Independence movement. The Ranch owner needed someone born off world, to lead his crew for political reasons, and Collin was respected and tough enough to handle the position.
