Our character application form is meant to help a writer submit a realistic and thoughtful character. Kobol’s Legacies takes place in a universe with 12 Worlds full of diversity when it comes to culture and customs. As a story, we have two primary settings for both civilian and military type characters.

• Battlestar Avalon: Military related jobs on a ship or wing.
  
• Colony of Aerilon: Profession before the attack. It will be up to character how they will use those skills.
  

Rank or Title:

• For Military Characters: Rank of Captain and above for officers and Petty Officer First Class and above for enlisted must be approved prior - talk to the mods first.
• Colony of Aerilon: Profession based. A resistances hierarchy has not been develop at this point of the story.

• Colony of Aerilon: Civilian employment can be made up at this point, but is mostly mute after the attack. All have to adapt and survive the best way they know how.

• Viper or Raptor pilot? Depending of time in service they may be qualified for both.They must be officers.

Education and Training:

What is the highest level of formal education? What did they study or degree did they earn?

• For military academy graduates, see list of service academies.

Military Training – Always keep in mind the age of the character and time in service. This will limit the amount of training they can attain.

Dominant Personality traits:

Motivation: What is your character’s primary motivation that defines your character’s life, forms their worldview, and drives them to action?

Moodiness: What is there emotional stability? Labile, even-tempered, or phlegmatic.

Current Outlook: This is their general worldview. Are they optimistic? (idealistic, confident, trusting, hopeful, upbeat). Pessimistic? (cynical, bleak, distrustful, foreboding, resigned). The character’s outlook can change depending on their experience or current situation.

Impulsiveness: Which of the following defines your character’s impulsiveness level? Controlled, deliberate, focused, steady, thoughtful, spontaneous, capricious, flighty, hyperactive, rash.

Flexibility: How do they handle new situations, tough decisions, and disagreement? Flexible, nonchalant, tolerant, forgiving, open-minded, stubborn, rigid, tense, relentless, intractable, narrow-minded.

Comportment: What is the character’s general style of social interaction? Agreeable, courteous, cultured, modest, charming, humorous. Discordant, gruff, critical, arrogant, crude, defensive, sanctimonious.

Interactivity: What is the degree to which your character interacts with others? Engaging, talkative, listener, entertaining, touchy Or Reserved, shy, loner, taciturn.

Life’s motto: If you character lives by motto, what would it be?

Additional information: Anything that was not mentioned above which contributes or adds to their general personality.

Interests: What would be their favorite topic of conversation? What kind of hobbies they might have.

Habits and quirks: What kind of habit do they have bad or good and how would it be set off? Smoking, cracking knuckles, addictions, etc. Do they have any quirks? Like humming, talking in sleep, superstitious for example.
