Family History:

Father: Maxwell Shaun Hayward: Retired, Marine Captain & Caprican Security. He served as a military officer during the First Cylon War and earned himself Colonial Medal of Valor and Purple Star for acts of bravery during the war. The side effects of the war had left him mentally crippled which forced a honorable discharge due to psychological reasons. His success with the Colonial Fleet Military had earned him a reputation which aided in his capturing a security post on Caprica where he could spend more time with his family. It lacked the thrill of the military life but considering his mental state, a desk job at a security firm was better than nothing. His mental state which initially wasn’t serious enough to prevent a close to normal retirement plan continued to deteriorate and finally it succumbed leaving him half the man he was. Mother: Mandy Reese Hayward: Retired, Psychologist Doctor. She devoted her life to healing the mind which was a follow on from her own mother’s dreadful defeat to a form of Psychosis. Her specialty was a valued commodity to the military during the First Cylon War. They believed it was nothing more than dreams but after further study, it was revealed that many pilots and soldiers were suffering the start of Psychosis. She was given the job of helping those men which later included her own husband as a casualty which in the end resulted in her early retirement to look after him in that fragile state. Sister: Annabelle Sarah Hayward: Student, Medicine. After what happened to her father and then her mother’s work, she decided to follow in her footsteps and also her sister’s in a way but not as far as the military was concerned. She took up medicine studies and is working as a trainee at the local hospital but is only authorized for basic cuts and bruises. Brother: Landon Max Hayward: Petty Officer, Ground Crew. He always wanted to be like his father, a true hero in every definition of the word but ultimately he wasn’t good enough or so he thought. His inability to find the feeling for flight left him grounded and his shaky nerves have ruled him out of the Marine Corps so a Petty Officer doing grunt work is the best he could do. Marital Status: Has had several past relationships with officers but nothing really stuck and currently, she is official marked as single but truthfully, she is seeing someone.

Tauron Military Medicine Academy is one of the most prestigious academies for medical training for the military life throughout the colonies. As long as blood was split, the TMMA has been around to clean up the mess and prepare the next generations of flight surgeon’s and general medical practitioners for the next call of duty. Blake Hayward was an honor graduate in her specific field of medicine. Flight Career: TMMA required that its qualified flight surgeon’s partake in basic flight training which involved slowly graduating up from simulations to the real thing which involved the basics in Raptors and the real deal Vipers. While she wasn’t given the 101 on them, she can at least pilot one if required. Current Flight Status: Basic on Raptors & Vipers Other Assignments: Served several medical posts in Caprica & Delphi and struck luck with an assignment to the Battlestar Avalon as Flight Surgeon. Interests: Blake has a few interests to note which are mainly common but some are a little more out there for a flight surgeon. She is a doctor, she studies a lot and while to most that would be considered a boring waste of time. She actually enjoys it. So reading is something she enjoys to do regularly but it isn’t all textbooks and medical journals. Socially she is a bad girl, she likes to flirt, tease and even have one night stands which has labeled her a sex addict but they don’t hold the degrees in psychology so what would they know? She likes to spend time with friends, family and tries to see them as much as possible.

As a military officer, she is a flight surgeon which means nothing special to the pilots or to her, sure she can ground them like their mommies but she wants to be more, to do something more than just be a good medical practitioner. She loves to fly Raptors, Vipers, she actually has the attributes, the feel for flying just because of her medical knowledge and skills, she is too valuable to risk.
